The Boys

The boys also played well together. Owen and Isaac are only 6 months apart...it is so nice that the cousins are so close.

Owen and Isaac fishing. "Do you see any fishies?"
"Three cheers for team White Shirts. Hip Hip Horray - Hip Hip Horray - Hip Hip Horray!"
It was these three against Adrian, Kiah & Isabelle...I think team White Shirts won 3 games in a row.

The Girls

Jason, Bridget and the kids (Justin, Isaac, Kiah and Tobin) spent a week at the cottage in July. We went up for two days and took about a million pics. The girls are so close in age and really got along so well. Isabelle kept saying "This is my friend Kiah" "Hi my friend Kiah" ... so cute! Here are some of my favourites:

cn tower

CN TOWER
We spent a great day with Nora and the kids at the CN Tower...they were most amazed by the glass floor in the elevator and in the observation area. I was not brave enough to stand on it...but the kids were all over it!

They really were so cute together:
And no fear of pressing right up against the glass:

Even though it was a cloudy day, we got to see a lot through the viewers. Owen loved looking at how small the people were.

Some wonderful group shots:

Overheard

Last night, I took Owen to karate - a local club as a 2 week trial in order to get an idea if this is something that will work going forward. As I was putting Owen to bed we had the following conversation:
M: Owen, I know you were nervous tonight, karate is brand new for you and you went and did your best. Daddy and I are very proud of you.
O: Thanks (smiling)
M: You are welcome buddy!
O: Mama, know what?
M: what?
O: If I was the daddy and you were the girl and I took you to karate tonight, my heart would be breaking apart with so much proudness and loveness for you. I love you so much mama and I love daddy so much too. And I love Isabelle too.

Man, I love this boy!

kindergarten grad

Finally getting around to doing a round up of the goings on in the Gill Family for the past few months. This is my favourite shot of the day, he looks so sweet in his graduation cap:
Getting his certificate from Mrs. Fraser. When he opened it later that day he declared in a disappointed voice "it's not a pirate treasure map"
He sat so well during the long ceremony. Our hearts were bursting with pride!

Here are the kids running to the school on the last day:
Hugging Donna, the best crossing guard in Ajax:
Handing out gifts to teachers:
This is our standard start/end of school shot on the front steps:
As I was looking for our first day of school pics, I relized that he was wearing the same shirt...love that...here is a link back to first day of school.
